Green Belt is an area of land with fields, woods, parks and countryside around a town or city where people are not allowed to build houses, offices or factories.
It is protected by law so it has to be kept GREEN!

There is lots of green belt land in our area that you can enjoy including:
Our local parks are not green belt but they are fun places to enjoy the outdoors

- Parkfields – the open fields and playground over the railway bridge off Red Road
- The Spinney – the path between the trees from Allum Lane to Parkfields
- Woodcock Hill – with benches, paths and wildlife ponds
- Aldenham Country Park
Our local parks are not green belt but they are fun places to enjoy the outdoors
- Aberford Park – playground, grass, lake and fountains
- Meadow Park - big play and sports areas, bandstand and grass

It gives us countryside and open spaces to enjoy ourselves.
